Dr. C.V.N. Kavitha Rao

The Late Dr. C.V.N. Kavitha Rao was a passionate advocate of lifelong learning and firmly believed in the adage that prevention is better than cure. Her active involvement in awareness and medical camps, and her work with the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Foundation to provide free diabetic health camps to the underprivileged in rural areas of Telangana and Tamil Nadu, reflected her unwavering commitment to ensuring accessible healthcare for all.

Her professional journey commenced with the Department of Medicine at Pondicherry’s Government General Hospital, followed by her role as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) at the Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences.
In 2008, she embarked on a new phase in her career, joining Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy in Chennai after completing her Fellowship in Diabetology. Eventually, she moved to Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Specialties Centre in Domalaguda, Hyderabad, continuing her dedicated service to the medical community.

Throughout her distinguished career, she has attained notable academic honors and under the mentorship of Dr. V. Mohan and Dr. N.G. Sastry, she has presented and published papers at numerous international conferences in Singapore, Vietnam, Spain, UAE, and Germany.

  • MBBS from Vinayaka Missions Medical College, Karaikal, Pondicherry in 2004.
  • Fellowship in Diabetology from Dr. Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy in 2008
  • Post Graduate Program in Diabetology from John Hopkins University, School of Medicine & MESF, USA
  • Certified Program in Clinical Diabetology from Harvard Medical School, USA
  • Post Graduate Course in Diabetology from Boston University, School of Medicine, USA
  • Thyroid Disorder Management Program from the American Thyroid Association
  • Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
